Boat Moorings & Marinas

Iron Wharf Boat Yard

Iron Wharf, Faversham ME13 7BY, UK – 01795 536296

This is a boat yard, not a marina, and is at the top of a drying creek but the mud is soft so even fast motorboats can take the ground. Basic facilites and the staff are very helpful. The yard is a fascinating place with a lot of old wrecks in it and it is only a short walk to Faversham. Phone in advance as space is limited and you need to be confident about navigating a narrow creek.

Superb people. Helpful and very friendly

Youngboats

Local Parks & Gardens

Faversham Recreation Ground

51 Park Rd, Faversham ME13 8EU, UK

Nice large recreation ground. Lovely play area for kids of all ages. Huge playing field The toilets weren't open on this occasion, but they usually are. Free parking for a good amount of hours (cant remember if 3 or 4 hours). Kids loved seeing the squirrels playing in the trees.

Lovely, BIG, park. Large area of open grass, large shady trees around the perimeter path, welcoming to picnicking family's, dog walkers, joggers and peeps playing football too. The playground area is nicely maintained too and lots for kids to take turns on. The history of the park is interesring too, it was originally owned by one person who donated it to the town for the townsfolk to enjoy - look up local history 👍
