St Mary of Charity Church

Church Road, Faversham ME13 8GZ, UK – 01795 532592

A grand, beautiful and lavish church serving the market town of Faversham. Two large transepts flank the exceedingly tall and well lit nave, which then leads into the gorgeous and exuberant chancel, complete with an absolutely beautiful stained glass window. The interior is almost a museum in stature, containing wheelchair access and plenty of exhibits and sights as well as a fully furnished parish office. The tower is grand and boasts a spectacular spire which is traditionally lit up at the holiday season. Lastly the churchyard is pretty and picturesque, and although not as sprawling as the architecture, it does contain a nice stone archway leading out the east exit, as well as a peaceful hedged ‘Garden of Remembrance’.

Got married here, the church is beautiful but what made it was the chaplain that had just got back from a tour in Afghanistan. Best. Man. Ever.

St Peter and St Paul's Church, Ospringe

St.Peter & St.Paul's Church, Water Ln, Ospringe, Faversham ME13 8XS, UK – 01795 533272

Lovely looking church but was sadly closed when I visited. No information up about when it would be open.

Nice bells, but a couple are difficult to handle at times

St Catherine's Church, Preston-next-Faversham

Preston Ln, Faversham ME13 8LF, UK

A kind man allowed me inside the mixed-eras church, where medieval catholic construction meets rich Victorian restoration. The main window lacks stained glass, and the organ is now electric, albeit with the original pipes intact; a beautiful Boyle family tomb sits in the wonky medieval chancel. The congregation meets regularly, and the churchyard backs out against gardens and a railway station.
